Maybelline’s Fall 2014 Dare to Go Nude Collection 24 Hour Color Tattoo Leather

When applying your eyeshadows it’s always good to use a good base for your shadows to stick to.  One of my favorites to use are from Maybelline’s Color Tattoos, a staple in almost every make up junkie’s collection.  I don’t usually go crazy to get all the colors because I don’t tend to want such a shimmery base.  Well Maybelline has answered my prayers.  Their Fall 2014 Dare to go Nude collection is bringing us four new matte shades of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hour Leather line.  There is a fifth shade in the line, Chocolate ‘Suede which I don’t believe is matte.

Last year’s fall collection also offered us some matte color tattoos but they were limited edition.  I know not everybody was able to grab them up.  The only way I found them was from a blog sale from my girl Bvenice1920 (check her out she always has great deals on those hard to find items and also does amazing giveaways).  But for these Color Tattoos, you should have a good chance of finding them at a drugstore near you as the packaging does not show any indication of being limited edition.
For now I only picked up two, but I am sure I’l be grabbing up a few of the other colors.  (I got my eyes on you Creamy Beige!).  Vintage Plum is like a grayish lilac color that is completely matte, it doesn’t have any shine to it.  Dramatic Black seems to be just that, a nice deep black which is not an ashy black.  I haven’t worn them yet, but from my swatches alone I am excited to use these as bases under a nice smoky eye.  The Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoos retail for about $5.79 but if you catch one of the weekly drugstore deals and use your coupons, you can get them for about $3 each in most cases.  If the colors are sold out in your drugstores of course you can always try Amazon here.
Upon swatching the cream eyeshadows, I realized they were just that, super creamy.  They both glided really smooth against my hand without skipping.  I can not wait to use these shades as bases for some eye looks.  These can be worn as eyeshadows by themselves, I just tend not to considering my allergies and oily eyelids.  It’d be a hot creased up mess but feel free to see if it works for you.  However you choose to use your Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoos, I think the ones from their 2014 Fall collection are definitely ones to look out for.  I also picked up Maybelline’s The Nudes 12 pan Eyeshadow palette from the new collection, please see that blog post for more information.
