I Always Knew I Had a Bright Future with Sephora!

Last year Sephora introduced us to their Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer and I have been using it non stop since I picked it up about a month or two ago.  Recently I discussed my skincare concern with you over on Skincare Sunday and let you know that I have had eczema for pretty much my whole life.  While I don’t necessarily have many flare ups, I do have the hyper pigmentation scarring that it left behind and it drives me nuts!

That’s where the Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer comes into play.  This full coverage concealer comes in a wide range of 20 colors at only $14 each!  Sephora’s website states that it is the largest shade range that they offer.  The consistency of the concealer is like a soft creamy gel that is very lightweight and blends flawlessly into the skin without settling into your fine lines.

A problem I find with other concealers is that about mid day I would start to see my hyper pigmentation peeking through just screaming for a touch up but I’m lazy and can’t stand retouching my makeup through the day (minus a lipstick if necessary).  Sephora’s Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer is definitely a winner in my book because it is super long lasting.  I can come home after a full 8 hour day at work and still not need any retouching done, proving that is durable; exactly what I needed in my life!

The concealer is formulated without parabens and contains pineapple ceramide which helps to improve skin texture and promote brightness.  You can use this concealer daily and not have any anguish thinking it may be harmful to your skin.  In fact over time it may improve the appearance of your skin.

Still in all with it being so easy to build up and blend I have been loving this concealer and I definitely plan on repurchasing this concealer when I run out.  I purchased two shades; #14 Toffee which I use as an highlighting shade underneath my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, forehead, cupid’s bow and chin area.  Additionally, I chose #15 Dulche de Leche which is closer to my skin tone for the area of hyper pigmentation above my mouth.  If you’re looking for a lightweight full coverage concealer I definitely suggest checking out the Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer as a part of your next makeup haul.  For only $14 come now in the words of Fab – just throw it in the bag!

  • I am using the NARS Creamy Concealer and it holds me down pretty good. It cost enough! It better. I will swatch this concealer the next time I’m in Sephora.

    • Kay’s Ways

I like the NARS one too but sometimes it can be too creamy for me. Definitely swatch it and let me know what you think!

  • Megan T.

I haven’t heard of this concealer before, but now you’ve got me intrigued! I’m also using Nars Radiant Creamy concealer now under the eyes and Maybelline Fit Me for blemishes. Once I run out, I’ll have to go test these. Thanks for a great review!

    • Kay’s Ways

I like both of those concealers as well, this should work out for you too! Thanks for rolling through!

  • It sounds like a great concealer. It’s nice that they have a ton of different shades too. I agree, I’m not a huge fan of that type of applicator. H&M released a concealer that is similar.

    • Kay’s Ways

Yeah the applicator is the only con I have witness so far so I can’t really complain. Thanks for visiting!

  • I’ll have to check this out! I have hyperpigmentation too and I can’t find a great concealer so I usually end up just layering on foundation where I need it.

    • Kay’s Ways

Yes it’s so annoying to layer the foundation though because it can end up looking cakey and not blended smoothly. If you’re in Sephora definitely check it out it may help with your hyperpigmentation, I know it has helped me I use it daily!

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

At first I thought you got a job with Sephora, lol! But I enjoyed reading about your experiences with the Sephora concealer. It sounds really good. If I didn’t already have more than 20 concealers, I’d be running out to get it. I also have trouble with concealers not covering my hyperpigmentation all day. I recently got Tarte CC Correct & Conceal and that as well as a Becca full coverage concealer seem to do the trick. Next time I’m at Sephora, I definitely will look at this one though. Great review.

    • Kay’s Ways

LMBO, got ya! I’m a concealer junkie too (to cover up that hyperpigmentation lol). The Becca one is a cream right? They tend to crease under my eyes so I don’t use them too often. How about the Tarte one? See now you got me ready to try out more LOL. Thanks Allison!

  • How long have you been using it? The only concealer i have tried is the LA girl one. Need to try more brands soon.

    • Kay’s Ways

It’s been a few months now. I used to like the LA Girl one ( I stick to just the correctors now). The Sephora one is a thinner consistency so I don’t have to worry about under eye creasing while giving the same full coverage.

  • MJ

Oh this I have to try. These mom circles under my eyes have to go. Sephora is one of my happy places so I will definitely pick some up. I like that it is barely there because I am not a big makeup wearer.

    • Kay’s Ways

Yup MJ it’s not heavy at all and blends nice & easy. A woman after my own heart, Sephora is one of my happy places too lol.

  • I need to check out this concealer! Thanks for sharing and I now use Ebates. Love it!

    Hm, interesting. Thanks for sharing!

I need to check this concealer out when after my appointment in May!

Keep me posted if you try it Ursula

  • I am obsessed with this concealer too! It’s very comparable to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer too and a lot more affordable. Beautiful swatches xo

    • Kay’s Ways

Seriously and for some reason the way everyone hyped up the NARS one I expected more of a wow moment after I tried it. This works perfect for us!!!
