Earlier this year NARS released their line of contour blush duos that features one highlighting shade to illuminate and the other to contour and define or add depth to your face. Three shade choices are available to give dimension to faces of all shade ranges; Olympia (the lightest), Paloma (middle shade range) and Gienah (the deepest shade).
You may remember when I purchased Gienah when I went to The Makeup Show back in June. I used it a lot at first and then didn’t want to use it too often, (did I mention that it’s $42, thank you to The Makeup Show for the discounts!!!). With me rearranging my vanity/ desk area (Would you like a tour?? click here!), I was able to find things that I have not putting to use so I had to bust this out again.
The Gienah NARS Contour Blush is a soft and natural highlight/ contour that is good for everyday wear. The application is smooth and effortless, sticking to the NARS blendability that we love. Also sticking to true form, is the pigmentation; even though it is meant for a natural look the powders are easily buildable for that more defined look.
As for skin tone match, Gienah works well for me who wears the NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Macao. I do not believe it would be as great for my sistas who are a few shades darker than my complexion. If you have to build it up too much just to see it, why would you waste so much product?
If you are in my shade range, you are in luck because this buttery soft powder provides the most subtle definition to your look. The finely milled powders leave the softest sheen to your skin and blend right in. If you are a beginner to contouring and highlighting applications but would like to venture into higher end products, NARS Contour Blushes is a great place to start. It’s so easy to blend and makes for an effortless and smooth application.
