Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner

You know, it just dawned on me that I haven’t told you guys about my favorite shampoo I like to use, the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration 2 in 1 Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner with Coconut Extract.  It wasn’t until just last week when I tried a brand new shampoo that helped me realize even more how much I loved my shampoo (the one I tried dried my texlaxed AND virgin hair out; don’t worry I took that baby back and got my money back.  To find out what shampoo I’m talking about click here).  In my book, the Hello Hydration Shampoo has been deemed  as holy grail status.  So this is going to be a #ThrowbackThursday edition of a series I haven’t done in a while, Holy Grail Hair Care.

FRESHSTART

The Herbal Essences Hello Hydration 2 in 1 Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner retails for $6.99 at CVS according to the bottle but I caught these huge 23.7 fl oz bottles of shampoo on clearance for about $2 each.  Especially considering I bought these about a year ago.  The clear packaging shows you exactly how much, or should I say how little of the product I’ve used.

FYI: I think they’ve changed the packaging since I’ve purchased these which is probably how I caught these at such a steal!!

You don’t need much, this shampoo does a great job at sudsing up first time around.  I don’t really like having to use a whole lot of shampoo in my hair so a quarter size in the front and another in the back gets my hair fully cleansed without being completely stripped of it’s natural oils.  I love the fact that it is not drying to my hair.  The added conditioner makes this a multitasking product  so when they say moisturizing shampoo they mean it!

The scent of the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration shampoo is pleasing, not overwhelming.  I shouldv’e known there was something wrong with that other product I returned.  Keep in mind, remember

.  If you’re interested here’s a listing of the rest of the ingredients in the shampoo, when you see water as the first element of the product you know you’re on the right track.

heingredients

With the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner you immediately smell the added Coconut Extract and it kind of takes me away to the beach in Dominican Republic with my bestie.  Who doesn’t want to imagine a vacation while you wash your hair in the shower?

Although I like to try many different conditioning products for my hair, I don’t think I’ll be experimenting with shampoos anymore any time soon.  The fact that I can lather and rinse one time during my wash day and still come out with clean hair with added conditioner too?!?!  Yesss I am all here for it!!!

The product junkie in me would love to hear any recommendations for moisturizing shampoos that you have tried just in case though 😉

Also be sure to check out my Texlaxed Hair Journey Playlist over on the Kay’s Ways YouTube channel to see use a lot of these products in action in various hair demos.

Until next time, Stay Blessed Beauties!!!

  • I’ve never tried the Shampoo but I have used the Hello hydration conditioner before. All the naturals raved about it lol. It was just ok for me. It’s always great to find stuff your hair loves.

  • I love the hellow hydration conditioner. I’ve been using it ever since I went natural.

  • Nadeen

2 in 1 shampoos/conditioners are so convenient! And this one is cheap! I love the smell of coconut so that’s a plus!

  • Christine St.Vil

I’ve never heard of this brand but that’s awesome that it works so well and that it’s affordable! I believe I just found my “holy grail” shampoo/cleanser which is made by Koils of Nature. That in conjunction with their deep conditioner is really amazing for me.

  • RattlesandHeels

This used to be my Holy Grail when I just went natural but that love relationship ended. I can’t remember what exactly happened. I probably just got bored with it and product junkism got the best of me lol Glad you’re enjoying it 🙂

  • Camesha

I’ve heard of this one. I haven’t tried it though. I’m a product junkie for real so I’m sure I’ll give it a spin.

  • I love this product when Im not using Herbal Essence Honey Im Strong. Sometimes we take our store brand products for granted…

  • S.O.S Hair

I love the conditioner—I never thought to try the 2-in-1. Thanks for the thorough review chica!
