Creme of Nature Straight From Eden Relaxer System

Creme of Nature’s new line of products, Straight From Eden is changing the way people look at chemically relaxing hair.  Eliminating the damaging chemicals normally found in most relaxers, CON Straight From Eden offers you “a healthier way to straighter, stronger more beautiful hair”.   This is the first time a hair relaxer system has all natural hair oils (coconut, avocado and olive oil to be exact) extracted from plants used as their main ingredients to chemically straighten your tresses.

Coming from a 7 month stretch of not chemically processing my hair, this was my first option choosing a relaxer for my texlaxing process.  Knowing how I already like to add oils to my relaxer to texlax, the CON Straight From Eden sounded like the perfect choice to straighten my hair without exposing it to harsh damaging chemicals which can make your hair dry and break off.

I purchased my Straight From Eden relaxer system from my local beauty supply store for $9.99 but you can also find it here on Amazon.  At first look, you may think the price is a little high for a boxed relaxer system  but when you factor in the benefits it has for your hair, I believe the price was well worth it.  If you think about it it would cost you about $50 – $70 if you go to a hairdresser to get your hair done.  If you are a do it yourself kinda gal like me (you can always get a friend or family member to do it too), this is a cheaper alternative.  With such a mild, yet effective product there is little to no room for error.
The Straight From Eden relaxer system comes in two varities; Type A for fine, wavy and delicate hair and Type B (which is the one I used) for normal, thick or resistant hair.  Even when choosing the Type B; which I would believe to be the stronger of the two, I had no burning or tingling sensations when applying to my hair. I’m not gonna front, I scratched my head a few times.  Even my most sensitive area, which is my front left section of my hairline, did not feel any sign of irritation or burning.  A definite plus in my book!!!
I had a successful texlaxing experience using the Creme of Nature Straight From Eden relaxer.  The added benefits of the coconut, avocado and olive oils has left my hair extremely managable, shiny and most importantly healthy.  I am excited to explore of the Creme of Nature product line.  The hydrating shampoo would make for a good clarifying shampoo which you should use at least once a month or when you feel like there is build up in your hair. The conditioning treatment was really nice, I just wish I had more of it.  I ended up stretching out the package by adding some jojoba oil and another conditioner.   I almost purchased the leave in conditioner but again, that price, Yikes!  I forgot to use the Repairing Oil but I will definitely be testing it out and seeing if it’s worth my coins!
If you have used any of the other products in the line or are interested in trying any of them, I would love to hear your thoughts.  Also feel free to check out the related videos from my texlax day using the CON Straight From Eden relaxer.

  • The leave in is great especially in New growth. I use the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner they have which is great, all sulfate free. The price it’s a little high but Walgreen usually has a sale for black hair care products, so I only but when it’s but one get one free.

  • They products I’m referring to are apart of the creme of nature argan oil line.

    • Yeeeesss, I also love the CON Moroccan Argon oil line!!!! That is actually the leave in I ended up buying since I love it so much. I have’t used the shampoo or conditioner, thanks for the recommendation, I will be looking at the Walgreen’s circulars for them deals too!
