Clarifying Shampoo

Use a clarifying shampoo every 4-6 weeks to remove product buildup from your hair.

Moisturizing Shampoo

Gentle enough to be used weekly and provides your hair the moisture it needs to thrive.  A sulfate free shampoo will make sure your hair is not stripped from all its moisture but still clean so it can accept the products you apply.

Deep Conditioner

Pamper your tresses with a great deep conditioner that will lock in moisture and make your hair more manageable.

Protein Treatment

Every now and again your hair requires protein, some more frequently than others (more is usually the case for my relaxed hair girls).  Use a protein treatment to bring back balance to your hair to make it stronger and less likely to break off.  I suggest one every 4-6 weeks.

Leave in Conditioner

Usually also infused with a light protein of some sort, combines moisturizing and strengthening qualities that will help prepare your hair for styling and aid in detangling.

Natural Oils

From scalp massages to being used as a sealant to lock in the moisture from your leave in conditioner, natural oils promote healthy hair growth.

Tip – You can also add natural oils into your conditioner for a treatment boost.  Coconut Oil & Jamaican Black Castor Oil are some of my personal faves!

Keeping your hair moisturized makes it less likely to break off in order to retain length,  Dry, brittle hair is a no no!

I have tried many haircare products through my hair journey, some worked and some didn’t.  Please keep in mind the suggested items are products that have worked for my hair.  Of course you will have to try things out for yourself to see what works for yours.

As a matter of fact, I’ve recently fell in love with some new items that I picked up during Black Friday (I’ve already shared the info HERE on the Kay’s Ways YouTube channel and will be speaking on them shortly here on the blog as well).  Be sure to sign up to the mailing list to be notified when new posts are up but in the meantime you can take a look at some of my favorites as featured in my Holy Grail Hair Care.
