Big Apple Circus | The Grand Tour

Big Apple Circus has been putting smiles on family’s faces for 38 seasons now!  Since 1974, Big Apple Circus has been providing world-class live family entertainment and community programs that continue to make memories for you to share with your loved ones.  With holidays here, Big Apple Circus is a must see while you’re in the city enjoying the sites.

Their all new show, The Grand Tour, takes us back to the roaring 20s; the era where people across the globe began to travel via planes, trains and automobiles.   The accompanying live band keeps the crowd going right on cue too; I just loved being amidst all of the live energy!

Recently our family got the chance to see Big Apple Circus in action and I can truly say it was a memorable experience.  I mean anything that can keep my 3 year old Jreu in his chair for that amount of time is a winner in my book.  My oldest, Daejon (10) was all there for the snacks of course with circus favorites like popcorn and cotton candy.  He remembers when we went back when he was little like the other two.

Jreu loves to make do flips himself so of course his favorite part was the acrobats and aerialists as you can probably tell from the look on his face.  The attending children even had an opportunity to ride the ponies during intermission and after the show as well.  By the time the line died down, Jreu was occupied with the lights from his circus toys so we didn’t bother to bring it back up at the end of the show.

The Grand Tour features performers from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe as well as North and South America that takes the audience on an adventure.  With every member of the audience being seated no more than 50 feet away from the stage, you are guaranteed a great view of the entertainment from the clowns, jugglers, acrobats and aerialists from across the world.

Click through the gallery below to check out the great pictures I took with my iPhone6 Plus (my 2 year old Khloe was sitting on my lap so I didn’t want to bust out the big camera and risk dropping either one of them lol).  You can also check out some of the moments I shared HERE on my Instagram when we went.
