Becca Cosmetics has answered our makeup dreams!  (I know I couldn’t have been the only one wishing for a palette of their best selling Shimmering Skin Perfectors, right?!).  Now Ulta Beauty and Becca Cosmetics has brought us the Afterglow Palette that features a little something for everybody; 3 of their infamous highlighters and 2 mineral blushes.  It even includes one of thee best golden highlighting shades for all women of color, Topaz!

“A collection of five BECCA best sellers designed to add light, lift and a touch of color. Mix and match to customize your look and create your custom glow. Highlight your favorite features all season long with Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone, Rose Gold and Topaz, and the beautifully soft Mineral Blush in Wild Honey and Flowerchild. Highlight shades allow you to accentuate facial features for a natural glow, while Mineral Blush shades impart a soft sweep of color and subtly reflect light onto apples of cheeks.”

Last weekend I reposted Trendmood1’s Instagram of the new Afterglow Palette from Becca Cosmetics (check out that photo here and follow me while you’re there 😉 ).  I fell in love with the beautiful rose gold packaging immendiately!  Not soon after, actually like the day after; it was available online so I had to snatch it up.  I already love the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors and I was happy to see the palette even included 2 of their blushes which I have yet to try.  To receive 5 of the best selling shades from the Becca Cosmetics collection in one convenient palette is great for travel or for someone like me who is running out of makeup storage.  I normally prefer palettes anyway because individuals take up more space.

The Afterglow Palette from Becca Cosmetics includes:

  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone (1.4g)
  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold (1.4g)
  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Topaz (1.4g)
  • Mineral Blush in Wild Honey (1.6g)
  • Mineral Blush in Flowerchild (1.6g)

Although the pans in this palette are rather small, it will last you a while since a little of these powders go a long way.  I have the full size of Topaz (.28oz), which is my absolute favorite Shimmering Skin Perfecter so I didn’t mind having that as a duplicate.  With a price difference of less than $2, you get to try a variety of the best sellers without breaking the bank trying to collect all the full sizes.

For my deeper skin beauties, don’t be afraid of these shades.  One of the things I love about Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfecters is that even with the lightest hand your highlight shines through.  With the blushes it will take some more building up in for its true pigmentation to show.  The combination of Wild Honey & Flowerchild gives me a natural appearance, great for everyday wear.  Check out how this combination looks on me in my latest Get Ready With Me Video here.

I am absolutely in love with the Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfectors and am glad to have added this palette to my collection.  I’ll be sharing my full collection of the Becca Cosmetics SSP pressed powders soon here on the blog so be sure to subscribe to KaysWays.com so you don’t miss out!  For now check out my swatches from the Becca Cosmetics Afterglow palette.  I will be recording a video this week that shows the true fabulousness of these shades blended into my deep skin so also be sure to subscribe to the Kay’s Ways YouTube channel to catch the full demo!

    • Kay’s Ways

Yup & it’s half the price of the Hourglass palette! I have the first 2 palettes from them though so this was a nice change this year.
